From Latin America to Oregon
I grew up in Latin America, in El Salvador and Puerto Rico. I was a Cub Scout in Puerto Rico and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in South Florida.
My family moved back to Oregon, where the Deardorffs homesteaded in the 1850s, and I finished high school in West Linn. At Oregon State University I took part in two exchange programs and traveled every chance I got.
I married a wonderful woman from Denmark, and we have three great kids. These days I live in Beaverton.
